Premier League news: Manchester City will have to pay eye-watering fee to land young strike star

MANCHESTER City haven’t been short of a bob or two in recent years, but they’ll have to dig deep to land their man in this month’s transfer window.

Today’s Premier League gossip has seen City linked with a move for Schalke forward Leroy Sane by the Guardian.

However, the 19-year-old could cost an eye-watering £32m… although that shouldn’t prove too much of a problem for the mega-rich Manchester club.

The Sun, meanwhile, report that Watford striker Odion Ighalo isn’t keen on transfer speculation.

The 26-year-old has made a big impact in the top flight with the Hornets this season, which prompted talk of a £12m bid coming in from Atletico Madrid.

However, Ighalo says he has no interest in swapping Watford for Madrid.

Everton forward Steven Naismith is another player who has been attracting attention.

It has been reported that he is set to join Norwich for £8m this month, but that might not be the case.

The Times claims that Toffees boss Roberto Martinez will keep hold of Naismith for the time being as his side face a busy schedule of five games in 14 days.

On the managerial front, Frank de Boer has told Swansea he fancies a crack at the Premier League, according to the Daily Star.
